CTET 2013 Online Application -April 16, 2013

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued the Central Teacher Eligibility Test July 2013 notification. CBSE shall conduct CTET 2013 on July 28, 2013 in two sessions (Paper I & II).

Online Applications for Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2013 can be submitted through www.ctet.nic.in from March 15, 2013 onwards. The last date for submission of online application form / registration is April 16, 2013. Last date for receipt of confirmation page by CBSE is April 22, 2013. Once applied, candidates will be able to check their Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2013 Application Status online.

The CBSE conducts Central Teacher Eligibility Test twice every year. The candidates who qualify Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2013 are issued CTET Marks Statement and this CTET score is applicable for appointment as teachers in Central Government Schools as well as the Schools which are under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and NCT of Delhi.

CTET 2013 shall comprise of two papers (Paper I & II). Paper I is for candidates aspiring to be a teacher for classes I to V and Paper II for candidates aspiring to teach classes VI to VIII. In case a candidate intends to be teacher for both levels, he/she is required to apply for both papers. The question papers will be of objective type with each question carrying one mark with no negative marking for wrong answers, constituting a total of 150 questions in each paper. BSc-Nursing

Eligibility: A candidate will be eligible for admission to Health Science Courses i.e. MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BPTh, BOTh, BSc-Nursing for the academic year 2013–14 on fulfillment of the following conditions:

The candidate may be an Indian National / NRI / Foreign National. The candidate is required to produce proof in support of his/her Nationality from a District Magistrate, Additional Magistrate or Metropolitan Magistrate. School Leaving certificate of HSC/12th Std indicating the nationality of the candidate as Indian or Valid Passport also shall be considered as sufficient proof of Nationality.


For Admissions to MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing the candidate must be born on or before 31ST December 1996 to be eligible to appear for Asso-CET 2013. For admissions to BAMS candidate must be born on or before 1st October 1996. The Secondary School Certificate (i.e. SSC) or equivalent examination certificate or the certificates of age and nationality endorsing the date of birth will constitute the valid proof.

The candidate must be medically fit and must submit a certificate of medical fitness Annexure J

Eligibility Criteria for qualifying Examination for various courses:-

For MBBS, BDS and BAMS :
A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.
A Candidates belonging to Reserved Category must have obtained not less than 40% Marks Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.

For B. Sc (Nursing):-
A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 45% Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.
A Candidates belonging to Reserved Category must have obtained not less than 40% Marks Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.

For BPTh, BOTh, BASLP rule no. 5.5.1, 5.5.2 and 5.5.3 is not applicable to this course, passing at Std. XII or HSC or equivalent examination is necessary.

Law School Admission Test - India-2012- 5th May 2012

The LSAT-India (Law School Admission Test - India) is a standardized test of reading and verbal reasoning skills designed by the USA based Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for use by law schools in India. LSAT 2012 on Saturday 5th May , 2012 at any of the test centres spread across 15 cities in India.

The test will be administered in a paper and pencil format in India and in computer-based testing (CBT) mode at overseas locations.
LSAT INDIA Test Pattern

The LSATIndia is a paper-and-pencil test with four sections. Two of the sections contain logical reasoning questions; one section contains analytical reasoning questions; and one section contains reading comprehension questions. The amount of time allotted for each section is 35 minutes. There is one 15-minute break between section 2 and section 3. All questions are in a multiple-choice format, some with four answer choices and others with five. Answers are collected on a scannable answer sheet. The total duration of the test is 2 hours and 35 minutes including a break of 15 minutes.

LSAT India Registration/Student Application Process

  • Register online for the LSATIndia entrance test by logging on to www.pearsonvueindia.com/lsatindia. The LSATIndia registration fee is Rs. 3500/- ; the fee can be paid online or by a demand draft/pay order/ banker's cheque. The candidate can also contact Pearson VUE at LSATIndia@pearson.com for more information. On completion of the registration, all candidates will get an LSATIndia registration number. Candidates will need to mention this LSATIndia registration number while submitting the application forms to the participating colleges.
  • After obtaining the LSATIndia registration number, the candidate must download/obtain the application form from the participating college. The college admission application forms will require candidates to mention their LSATIndia registration number. Candidates must ensure that they write their LSATIndia registration number at the given place in the Application Form of the participating colleges.
  • All registrants who complete the test registration, pay the test fee in a timely way, and follow published test rules may sit for the LSATIndia. It is the candidates' responsibility to understand the eligibility requirements of the participating law schools to which he/she is applying before deciding to register for the LSATIndia. If a candidate registers for the test and then determines that he/she is ineligible for admission to the intended law school, no test-fee refund will be available.
  • Test Scores of all students writing the LSATIndia will be transmitted to the participating colleges.

Common Law Admission Test 2012 (CLAT) - Last Date March 31-2012

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted by 14 National Law Schools/Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M). Last date for submitting online application form : 31st March 2012.

The Date of common law admission test: 13th May, 2012, 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.  The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2012 will be conducted for admission to the undergraduate programme for eleven National Law Universities and also for the post-graduate programme (LL.M) for admission to NLSIU, NALSAR, NLIU, WBNUJS, HNLU, GNLU, RMLNLU, CNLU and RGNUL. The details of intake, reservation, courses offered along with the fee structure and further details can be had from the website of concerned University.


CLAT 2012 IMPORTANT DATES

Age limit: Not more than 20 years in case of General/OBC category and 22 years in case of SC/ST/PwD as on 01st July, 2012

POST-GRADUATE PROGRAMME
The CLAT-2012 for the post-graduate programme (LL.M) will be applicable for admission to NLSIU, NALSAR, NLIU, WBNUJS, HNLU, GNLU, RMLNLU and RGNUL only. For NLU, Jodhpur and Cochin candidates are required to apply separately to that University.

CLAT result will be published through merit lists prepared on the basis of overall merit, preference-wise, gender-wise, state-wise and reservationwise. (SC/ST/OBC/PWD). A candidate whose name figures in more than one list will be given a choice after the declaration of the CLAT- 2010 result to unconditionally and irrevocably choose from any of the lists through which they want to seek admission within a stipulated time.

TANCET 2012 -Common Entrance Test Notification

Tamilnadu CET-2012-M.B.A. / M.C.A. / M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. DEGREE PROGRAMMES

The Anna University (Chennai) will conduct the 2012 edition of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) on MARCH 31, 2012 AND APRIL 1, 2012. It is mandatory for students aspiring to join MBA, MCA, ME, MTech, M.Arch and MPlan postgraduate degree courses to appear for the TANCET.


The TANCET will be conducted in various centres in Chennai, Coimbatore, Erode, Karaikudi, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Chidambaram, Salem, Thanjavur, Villupuram, Virudhunagar, Nagercoil, Madurai and Karaikudi.

TANCET 2012 Notification- PG admissions 2012

Applications have been invited for the TANCET-2012 to be conducted by Anna University Chennai on behalf of the Govt of Tamil Nadu on 31st March, 2012 and 1st April, 2012 from candidates who seek admission to MBA/MCA and M.E./M.Tech, M.Arch/M.Plan degree programmes in Tamil Nadu for the year 2012-2013 offered at University Departments of Anna University Chennai, Anna University Coimbatore, Anna University Trichy, Anna University, Tirunelveli, Govt Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges, Govt Aided Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges, and Govt Quota seats in self-financing Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges/stand alone Institutions


TANCET 2012 ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility:

  • MBA: A pass in any recognised bachelor’s degree with 10+2+3/4 years pattern or a pass in any degree with 10+3 (diploma) plus 3 years pattern or B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm degree or AIME with 2 years regular full time teaching experience/industrial experience in the relevant field after passing all the subjects.Candidates should have obtained 50% marks in the degree examinations (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category)
  • MCA: A pass in any in any recognised bachelor’s degree with 10+2+3/4 years pattern, or a pass in 10+3 (diploma) plus 3 years pattern with Mathematics at +2 level with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Candidates should have obtained 50% marks in the qualifying examinations (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category)
  • M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination
  • B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch degree programme; or B.Pharm/B.Sc (Agri/Forestry/Horticulture/Fishery) degree programme; or Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science/Arts, which are prescribed; or M.Sc (5 years) Integrated degree programme; or B.Sc (3 years) in IT related major courses and M.Sc (2 years) in IT related major courses
  • Candidates with section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates and other similar certificates of professional bodies or societies (e.g. A.M.I.E.) recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India are considered to be equivalent to B.E./B.Tech degree holders only with 2 years regular full time teaching experience/industrial experience in the relevant field after passing all the subjects
  • An experience certificate is to be produced by the candidate
  • Candidates admitted through lateral entry in degree courses are not eligible except, B.E./B.Tech degree
  • Courses
  • Candidates with B.E./B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc degrees obtained through week end courses and B.E./B.Tech through distance mode are not eligible
  • Candidates appearing for the final semester/year examination of the said qualifying degree course during April/May 2012 may also apply for TANCET-2012, except AMIE
  • Other state candidates can also appear for the entrance test, but the eligibility conditions will be stipulated by the admitting authority/university


TANCET 2012 APPLICATION PROCESS

Registration for entrance test

Spot registration: Candidates can appear in person at the Co-ordinating centres with the following documents; copy of X std or equivalent mark sheet; copy of XII std mark sheet or 3 years diploma certificate; cash or demand draft; SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu have to produce a copy of the permanent community certificate (card format) for availing fee concession

Internet registration: Candidates can register through internet by filling-up the application form, downloading it and send it with the following enclosed; copy of X std or equivalent mark sheet; copy of XII std mark sheet or 3 years diploma certificate; demand draft; an attested copy of the permanent community certificate (card format) issued by the competent authority of Govt of Tamilnadu (for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu)

Entrance test fee:
For candidates who register in person, a demand draft for Rs 500/- (Rs 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) drawn in favour of the Director, entrance examinations, Anna University, payable at Chennai, obtained from any nationalised bank drawn on or after 23rd January, 2012 or cash, should be submitted along with the filled-in application, as the entrance test fee for any one of the programmes MBA/MCA or M.E./ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan

The application form is common for all the three entrance tests. Candidates have to submit only one application form

A candidate applying for more than one programme has to pay Rs 500/- (Rs 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) for each additional programme. A single demand draft is sufficient for one or more programmes

Hall ticket: The registration number assigned in the hall ticket should be entered at the appropriate place in the admission application form to be filed with the respective admitting authorities later. Hall ticket for the entrance test will be dispatched (for internet registration only) to all the eligible candidates who have applied. If any eligible candidate does not receive the hall ticket, he/she can get a duplicate hall ticket from the enquiry office at the following centres

For obtaining a duplicate hall ticket before the entrance test, the candidate has to produce an attested copy of a recent passport size photograph and any evidence for having applied for the entrance test like application number/acknowledgement card, etc

The candidate, if eligible for TANCET-2012 after verification will be issued a duplicate hall ticket

CSIR UGC NET SOLVED QUESTION PAPERS

A candidate may apply either for ‘JRF + Lectureship’ both or for ‘Lectureship (LS) only’ He/She may indicate his/her preference in the O.M.R. Application Form/Online Application, as the case may be. CSIR may consider candidates applying for ‘JRF + LS’ for ‘Lectureship only’ depending on  number of fellowships available and performance in the test subject to the condition that they fulfill the laid down eligibility criterion. If a candidate is found to be over-age for JRF (NET) he/she will automatically be considered for Lectureship (NET) only.

Two separate merit lists, one comprising the candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF – NET) and the second of those candidates qualifying the Eligibility Test for Lectureship (NET), will be made on the basis of their performance in the above Test. Candidates qualifying for JRF (NET), will also be eligible for Lectureship (NET). The candidates qualifying for Lectureship will be eligible for recruitment as Lecturers as well as for JRF-ship in a Scheme/Project, if otherwise suitable as per the eligible criteria of that Scheme/Project. However, they will not be eligible for Regular JRF-NET Fellowship. They will be eligible to pursue Ph.D. programme with or without any fellowship other than JRF-NET. Candidates qualifying for the award of JRF (NET) will receive fellowship either from CSIR or UGC as per their assignment or from the Schemes with which they may find association. The candidates declared eligible for Junior Research Fellowship under UGC scheme will be governed by UGC rules/regulations in this regard.

The final result of this Single MCQ test may be declared sometime in the month of February, 2012 and fellowship to successful candidates could be awarded from 01.07. 2012.

ELIGIBILITY
Education Qualification

M.Sc. or Equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned in para 2.1 above, with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC candidates; 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D. degree holders who had passed Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991.

A candidate can also apply for the Test under RA (Result Awaited) category, if he/she is appearing or has appeared in his/her final year (Last Semester where Semester system is there) of M.Sc. OR equivalent Degree Examination in subjects mentioned in para 2.1 above during the academic Session 2011-2012. Such candidates will have to submit the attestation format (given at the reverse of the application form) duly certified by the Head of the Deptt./Institute over his/her signature and rubber stamp (with address and name) from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared in the final year(Last Semester where Semester system is there) M.Sc. or equivalent degree examination. However, such candidates shall be admitted to the Test provisionally. They shall only be considered eligible for JRF-(NET)/LS-(NET), if they are able to produce the proof of having passed the

Master’s Degree examination in the relevant or related subject with the requisite percentage of marks and within the stipulated time frame.
Age limit and relaxation

AGE LIMIT& RELAXATION
For JRF (NET): Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years as on 01-07-2012 (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer), Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants).

For LS (NET): Minimum 19 years, as on 01.07.2012. No upper age limit.

SYLLABUS OF THE TEST

The question paper shall be divided into three parts, (A,B & C) as per syllabus & Scheme of Exam.

Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects. This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis and Research Aptitude.

  • Part 'B' shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus.
  • Part 'C' shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.
  • A negative marking for wrong answers, wherever required, shall be applicable as per scheme of Exam.

The test will be held at 26 centres spread all over India, as specified below: Bangalore, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guntur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Karaikudi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pilani, Pune, Raipur Roorkee, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Varanasi.

A candidate may opt for any of the above centres. No request for change of centre would ordinarily be granted

The information Bulletin and Application form may also be obtained through Value Payable Post (V.P.P.) from the Indian Bank, 3/1, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi - 110 008, by sending a crossed Demand draft for Rs. 400/-, Rs. 200/- or Rs.100/-(as the case may be) drawn in favour of “Indian Bank, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi” payable at New Delhi. For this purpose, the candidate should send a request to the Bank with TWO self-addressed slips clearly mentioning the address at which he/she desires the Information Bulletin & Application Form to be sent by Value Payable Post (V.P.P.) As above mentioned Bank will entertain the request for forms through post from Tuesday, the 16th August, 2011 to Tuesday, the 30th August, 2011
only, hence, candidates are advised to send well in advance so as to reach their request within the above said period. The candidate should write his/her name, Date Of Birth, address, date of Examination (18.12.2011) and subject code on the back of the Demand Draft. However, before attaching the draft with letter of request, the candidates should check that it bears the code number of the issuing bank and drawee bank and also amount and signatures of issuing authority.


OPTION-II : APPLY THROUGH ONLINE APPLICATION

Interested & eligible candidates may apply for this test Online through a link available at CSIR, HRDG website: www.csirhrdg.res.in. In order to apply Online the candidates are required to download Bank challan Performa from the above website and then deposit the requisite examination fee in any of the Indian Bank branches throughout the country. The examination fee for the Online application is same as mentioned in Para-5.1.1 above. Candidates after successfully submitting application online are required to take print out of the Application Form, paste his/her recent black & white photograph, put his/her signature at the required space, attach requisite certificates and send alongwith CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank Challan in an envelope to Sr. Controller of Examinations, Human Resource Development Group, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 so as to reach on or before ______________ (______________for remote areas).


Online applications without hard copy or bank challan receipt or incomplete in any respect will be summarily rejected. Before applying Online, candidates are advised to go through detailed notification available at CSIR, HRDG website.


Examination fee paid along with the Information Bulletin or through Bank Challan for a particular examination will neither be adjusted for any subsequent examination nor refunded under any circumstances.Candidates should also check all the columns of Bank Challan, online application, which are to be filled in properly to avoid cancellation of application, Please note that Fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be summarily rejected.

CSIR Fellowships/Associateships are tenable in Universities/IITs/Post-Graduate Colleges/Govt Research Establishments including those of CSIR, R&D establishments of recognized public or private sector, industrial firms and other recognized institutions. However, CSIR reserves the right to determine the place best suited to provide necessary facilities in the area of science and technology in which the awardee is to specialize

The CSIR Fellowships/Associatships are tenable in India. Only bonafide Indian citizens, residing in India are eligible for the award of research Fellowship/Associateships. The programme is aimed at National Human Resource Development for S&T

The award of CSIR Fellowship/Associateships is for fixed tenure and does not imply any assurance or guarantee for subsequent employment by CSIR to the beneficiary. The authority to award/terminate vests with CSIR. The awardee shall not lay claim to permanent absorption in CSIR, after the expiry of Fellowship/Associateship

Subject of Research: Preference is given to a subject/topic of research relevant to the research programmes of CSIR laboratories and nationally important S&T areas

CSIR Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): A certain number of JRFs are awarded each year by CSIR to those holding MSc or equivalent degree, with minimum 55% marks after qualifying the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by CSIR twice in a year

Application procedure:
Applications for JRF are invited twice a year through press advertisement on all India basis in the prescribed application form. The completed application form may be submitted to the Controller of Examinations, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi-110012

Age limit: The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years, which is relaxed upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women, PwD and OBC applicants

Selection procedure: The selection for award of JRF shall be made on the basis of a competitive written test called the National Eligibility Test (NET), conducted by CSIR at national level and consisting of two papers

Paper one is objective type consisting of Part (A) general nature and part (B) is subject type. It tests the mental ability and broad awareness of scientific knowledge at the rudimentary level. The second paper is to be selected from the amongst (1) Chemical Sciences (2) Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences (3) Life Sciences, (4) Mathematical Sciences and (5) Physical Sciences

The second paper requires short descriptive answers to questions. Usually examinations are held for a day on the third Sunday in June and December, each year

The candidates who qualify in the test are informed individually after the result is finalized. The Fellowship is awarded on receipt of necessary details of the qualifying degree examination, place of work, research topic, the name of supervisor and the concurrence of the Institution to provide all the necessary facilities. The validity of the offer of this award will be one year. The candidate is expected to register for Ph.D degree within a period of one year from the date of joining

Stipend and Tenure: The stipend of a JRF selected through the all India test will be Rs 12,000/ p.m. for a period of 2 years. In addition, annual contingent grant of Rs 20,000/- per fellow will be provided to  the University/Institution

On completion of two years as JRF, the stipend may be increased to Rs 14,000/- p.m. for the 3rd and subsequent year, on the basis of assessment of Fellows’ research progress/achievements through interview by an Expert Committee consisting of the Guide, Head of the Department and External Member from outside the University/Institution who is an expert in the relevant field, not below the rank of Professor/Associate Professor. As far as possible the External Member should be the chairman of 3 members committee. Where the guide happens to be the Head of the Department, the Dean, Faculty of Science or any senior member of the Department may be associated as the third member of the committee. On up gradation, the designation of JRF will be changed to SRF (NET). In the event of the committee not recommending up gradation the candidate will continue as JRF with a stipend of Rs 12,000/- p.m. for the 3rd year or his fellowship may be terminated depending upon the decision of the committee. The progress of research work of JRF will be assessed again at the end of 3rd year for such up gradation

It is expected that Fellows will have published work to their credit by the end of 3rd year. This shall form an important quantitative and qualitative criterion for judging the progress made by the candidate. If the work of JRF is still not found satisfactory for up gradation, the fellowship will be terminated. Extension of tenure of SRF (NET) for the 4th year will be on the basis of the progress report and recommendation of the guide. The 5th year extension as SRF (NET) is permissible on the recommendation of three members assessment committee and progress report duly supported by publications in the form of reprints/ preprints/ manuscripts of the paper published, accepted or communicated for publication

The total tenure as JRF plus SRF (NET) will not exceed five years. This will include the tenure of Fellowship awarded by UGC/DST/ICMR/ICAR etc or any other funding agency/Institution. The order for continuation at the same rate of stipend as SRF (NET), continuation at the same rate of stipend as JRF or otherwise will be issued by the EMR division of HRDG, CSIR. Extension may not also be granted if the fellow does not acknowledge support of CSIR in his research publication
