Council of Scientific & Industrial Research offers opportunities to highly qualified but unemployed Indian nationals including those returning from foreign countries to carry out independent research in the following subject areas under Senior Reserch Associateship(SRAship) Scheme ( Earlier knows as Scientists Pool Scheme)
Agriculture Sciences; Chemical Sciences; Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean & Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Material Sciences; Mathematical Statistics, Operation Research and Computer Sciences; Physical Sciences; Engineering Sciences; Medical Sciences and Social Sciences and Humanities
Selections for the award of SRAship are made by subject-wise Special Selection Boards on the basis of academics, experience, track record of research, efficacy of the research proposal and performance in the interview.
Qualification & Experience : M.Tech / ME / MD / MS / MVSc / MPharma / PhD in any branch of Science / PhD in Social Sciences and Humanities 9 In a subject area related to Science & Technology ) Followed by two years research / teaching experience OR PhD inEngineering / Technology.
Pay , Allowances & Contingent Grant :
Basic pay can be fixed in either Rs.8000 - 9100 or Rs.10000 - 10325 slab. Allowances as per CSIR rules and contingency grant upto Rs.20000/- per annum are admissible.
Tenure : Maximum 3 years and not extendable under any circumstances.

Detailed guidelines and the other eligibility criteria such as minimum academic score, publications etc., required for applying for Senior Research Associateship are emtioned in the Informtion - cum - Application form booklet which may be obtained fromthe Head, Human Resources Development Group, CSIR Complex, Opposite Institute of Hotel Management, Library Avenue , Pusa New Delhi - 110 012 either personally or by post OR downloaded from our website www.csirhrdg.res.in. There is no "Last Date" for sending the completed application form. The applications are received and processed throughout the year.
