Certificate course on Energy Management and Audit

Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM) is the first Management Institute in India.They are conducting a unique programme, the first of its kind in Eastern India - a short term certification courses in Energy Management and Audit.

 

It was established in 1953 with Dr. B. C. Roy, the then Chief Minister of West Bengal as the founder president. Government of India released a commemorative Postage Stamp on IISWBM in recognition of 50 years of glorious experience of the Institute. The National Bureau of Accreditation (AICTE) Accredited the Institute for its various programmes with its highest rating.
Background:  Now, to cater the need amongst the working executives particularly in the energy intensive industries, i.e. almost all the process industries, manufacturing as well as transport sector, the institute is organizing a 3 - Months  Certificate  Programme viz. Short Term Course (STC) in Energy Management and Audit. In 2007, 2008 & 2009 six STCs have been successfully conducted. The participating organizations were Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), Public Works Department (PWD), Rifle Factory, Ishapore, Gun & Shell Factory, Cossipore, TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Corporation Ltd (WBSEDCL), West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Corporation Ltd (WBSETCL), West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd (WBPDCL)., CESC Ltd., Aditya Birla Insulator Ltd, Rishra Dept. of Health, Railways, Kolkata Urban Services for the Poor (KUSP), Kalyani and other municipalites.

Announcement:  This unique programme, the first of its kind in Eastern India, the standard module has 120 contact hours in class - room, energy laboratory and actual field visit (energy intensive industry). Fees:  @Rs 22665/- (plus service tax Rs. 2335; total Rs. 25000/- per head) for individuals and for Industry Sponsored candidates, which include study materials, kits, refreshments, etc. Each successful candidate will receive a completion Certificate. Others will receive a course participation Certificate if a minimum of 65% attendance is maintained.
